The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted recommendation CM/Rec (2010) 12 on judges: independence, efficiency and responsibilities.

 During the General Assembly meeting in London on 2-4 June 2010 the ENCJ elected its new organs.

Miguel Carmona Ruano, member of the Consejo General del Poder Judicial of Spain, was elected to be the new ENCJ President. His mandate will start on 1 January 2011 and will last for two years.

The registration for the General Assembly which will be held in London 2-4 June 2010 is now open. The general theme of this year’s meeting is “Towards a European Judicial Culture”. Invitations have been sent to all Members, Observers and Guests. For more information please contact the ENCJ Office.
