On 12 August 2026, the 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 (𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐉), 𝐀𝐂𝐀-𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐍𝐏𝐒𝐂𝐉𝐄𝐔) issued a joint statement concerning measures affecting the independence of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

In the joint statement, the four networks 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 and 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐒 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭.

The statement follows earlier expressions of support from the European judicial community. On 21 January 2026, the ENCJ, European Association of Judges (EAJ) and ACA-Europe issued a joint statement regarding Judges and Prosecutors of the International Criminal Court targeted by sanctions of the U.S. government.
