The attention of the ENCJ has been brought to the fact that the ENCJ letter (or parts of it) of 2 December 2024 sent in communication to the Országos Bírói Tanács (the OBT) was made public and perceived as endorsing the introduction of the quadrilateral agreement of 22 November 2024 between the Ministry of Justice of Hungary, Curia, National Office of the Judiciary and the National Judicial Council (the OBT).

The open letter aims to clarify the ENCJ position on this point.
